HEAT ALERT
100°+ All Weekend
Vulnerable neighbors need your help to escape the heat this weekend.
Extreme Heat Is Extremely Dangerous
Our homeless neighbors are stuck out in the heat several hours a day, a huge risk to their health and safety.
This weekend, Denver sizzles with temperatures soaring over 100 degrees. While many of us seek refuge in air-conditioned comfort, thousands experiencing homelessness face a brutal reality: extreme heat is a health crisis.
Your support is urgently needed as we see an increase in the number of guests seeking out help. Please help today.
Heatstroke and Dehydration
Exposure to full-sun and high temperatures can quickly lead to damaging sunburn, heatstroke, dehydration, and even death. Anyone struggling without access to shelter and water are at grave risk.
Mental Health Strain
Extreme heat exacerbates existing health conditions like high blood pressure and heart disease, and causes increased stress, anxiety, and irritability, taking a toll on a person's well-being.
No Escape from the Sun
What limited shade there is offers little relief when extreme temperatures hit. Even surfaces like sidewalks, buildings and streets become dangerously hot to touch or siton, making rest difficult.
Help Provide Relief
Together, we can ensure no one has to face this heatwave alone. Donate today and become a hero for Denver's most vulnerable population.
